What was up 12% if you are half in cash and up 6% for the day? Give me some of that!

That caught my eye too, but remember the cash made approx .014% so the other stuff only had to be up 11.986%.<g>

Well I've been rec. them for years....really long term calls (leaps) on almost any of the drillers. I have SU (ok not really a driller), NE, RIG, GSF, etc. DO has been slow for me. My leaps are converting to calls as Jan 08 nears, and action has been especially good for GSF. Last week I sold about 40 contracts for 17.80 (cost 15.80 or so last year) and rebought a few of same a few days later for $15.90, and this week they're back up in high cotton....very high cotton. No one on the board ever seems to listen to me when I recommend them, but I can bet you 2 corvettes and a new pool that they're worth looking at. (shameless plug: the Corvette, when equipped with a manual transmission, averages over 32 mpg at 75 mph, in 6th gear). Disclaimer: I used 6% based on the dollar amount increase today of my calls/leaps and not on the total option plus cash. It actually was a bit more than 6%. As the year progresses I'll likely sell out all '08s and rebuy '09s.
