"How did Payback even get into the discussion. Paul never used the term..." Not sure. (Believe I remember GZ introducing it in some posts earlier today though. I also pointed out then that it isn't found in any of Paul's statements we were discussing. Maybe GZ heard it somewhere?) If memory serves though... there has been a whole lot 'o "paraphrasing" going on... starting on stage while the debate was still on-going... and certainly I remember hearing and reading a lot of "restatements" and "synopsises" and "paraphrases" from the Media over the last day or two. :-( I am reminded of two things: 1) the 'cocktail party effect' (where you whisper something in a neighbor's ear, it travels around the room that way, and winds up as gobblety-gook. and, 2) Twain's famous saying that "A lie can travel around the world before the truth can get it's shoes on." Guess that's what the game of 'Media spin' is all about....
