Zeus, The Mega I was talking about is a brand name. Large doses of synthetic Beta Carotene has been known to be toxic since the 1930s, so it shouldn't be surprising that it is still toxic today. Selenium, in large doses, is actually a poison, as is tapioca.

BTW, the best thing for preventing prostate cancer is large doses of decaf coffee and green tea. However, I wouldn't trust these researchers too much. They also discovered that decaf contained some caffeine. I laughed at that. The labels say 99 or 98 or 97% caffeine free. Uh, professors, that means they contain some caffeine. See if you can get a big grant for reading the label. <G>
