the point is that this $/watt terminology is used by everyone in the industry and it is somewhat slang in that it doesn't ACTUALLY mean something costs ONE dollar for ONE watt

That is obvious to all, and there are many examples of this in everyday speech, using the term "calorie" when you really mean KCAL is one.

There are thousands of alternative energy startups out here and local newspapers do not print naive or grossly offbase commentary. You just don't know what it means.

Ask yourself this question, do you think those solar panels going up on everybody's roofs are delivering fuel at a cost of ONE DOLLAR PER WATT? Do you jump up and down and make a fool of yourself when people use the term "calorie" also, when it really means KCALs?

You might be a good candidate for the carnival act, "the human gorilla".
