Yes, I guess $1/watt would be too much to hope for yet, though the $4.77 is less than the ones I've seen online. I would definitely jump at that $1 price, and probably get an ROI of a year or two...

There is a local company that is making panels that use small magnifiers to concentrate the energy on smaller cells, allowing much lower cost. I'm hoping they go to market soon, and let us get out from our $500-$600/month electricity bill...
