a gas station/convienince store owner here in minneapolis boycotted SELLING gasoline last week. explaining that his margins were so low on gasoline that he only made money selling the products in his store.

he was trying to make a point i guess...

Not retail .. gas futures ..

They would jump the fastest in the event of plant shutdowns or whatever.

They have not jumped as fast as retail, pump prices have. They should have but did not. Price jumps at the pumps are leading of futures.
