@Paul
"
The platform is very important, as has been shown with Centrino.

Yes, absolutly correct. At this point, AMD showed good pro-
gress in the last year, the problem with the Griffin Paper-
stuff here is, that for the next year, AMD has to stick with
that, what they now have. Its not that worse, but can't reach
the old NAPA platform. Intel is now going to Santa Rosa and what
is AMD doing? Nothing, thats the serious answer. Intel has
upped clock up to 2,4G with 2,6G in single core mode. The
next leg up to 2,6G is already in the pipe - again, what is
AMD doing? I don't want to go to Mid 2008 - we don't know,
what platforms will compete against each other and how MPUs
will look like, the most important thing (and that wasn't
that new, but I expected more) was, that for the next year,
AMD hasn't something new in the pocket for that space. Looks
not nice, when competition is already ahead. One piece of the
puzzle more, which points to the wrong direction.

Paul, suggest to you that kpf used the term C-O-R-E, core.

Right here: Suggest to think along the line Barcelona and Griffin are cores are both derived from K8

Spin that one.
