He is a very real and down to earth kind of guy. The only concern I have is he talks off the cuff a lot about real serious issues and may become a lose cannon given a powerful political position.

Tancredo is a racist. He is the George Wallace of 2008, the one issue candidate against Mexicans in the US. That will appeal to a lot of new wave racists who have to grudgingly accept blacks now but can rant and rave against Mexicans, blaming them for everything. What group will be next? When you listen to Tancredo types, notice the big lie they always slip in, that the wetbacks are "terrorists", or that Al Qaida is amongst them. There is no evidence of this whatsoever. If Al Qaida wanted to slip someone in, the Canadian border is much easier to walk across. Some roads don't even have any manned checkpoints. That's how Al Qaida attempted to get bombs in to atttack LAX in 1999. fortunately CLinton's people were on the ball.
