Nice story. But false. It is wrong on several counts.

Malaria was never "nearly eradicated". DDT isn't the only effective insecticide, as this article implies. And, what the heck, the ban on DDT specifically excludes its use for vector control. In other words, there is no ban on DDT to control mosquitos.

Now, other than the fact that the only truth in this article is that 500,000 children under the age of 5 die from malaria every year...

Of course, the fact it is a total fabrication won't stop you from posting this thing several dozen times, will it?

Oh, might as well throw this one in, although it isn't mentioned in the article. Insects are starting to become resistant to DDT and related insecticides in areas where it is used. Evolution is a bitch.
