it isn't. He wanted to characterize your statement as "rationalizing", meaning "making an excuse for AMD". He wasn't very sure of exactly how "rationalizing" is defined. He looked it up. The definition happened to include the exact words he wanted to use. So he posted the whole definition, with the desired words bolded, to point out that your excuse making fit the definition exactly. Why would anyone take offense, instead of being grateful to have his error pointed out, in time to take corrective action ?
