No. Every once in a while, there is a push to do it. But, the sub-Saharan African countries argue that it is critical for their malaria control programs. So the issue gets dropped.

However, there are two growing problems. One, donor organizations are becoming more and more reluctant to dole out money for DDT. Two, mosquitoes are developing resistance to DDT. So it is less effective.
