Which makes it more efficient. Gas engines really don't like running at different speeds. They have a narrow range where they are pretty efficient, but the rest really sucks.

This should be mechanically simpler than the Prius.

Don't mean to be cynical but I'll believe when I see it. 2010 is only 3 years away......I don't believe GM can move that fast based on past performance.
