The problem is that we are in the region of the upper bound, and headed through it at a steep angle.

The problem is that we are dealing in a political argument, not a scientific one. And your side believes they are doing "God's Work," and it's OK to fudge the numbers to prove their point.

As the Wiki points out, Mann is a classic example of someone who fudged his numbers and didn't think he would get caught. The minute he found out that people who weren't his buddies were checking him, he pulled down his sources from his Net site, and refused to make them public. He was finally forced to reveal them because he was sucking on the Federal teat and couldn't keep them secret any longer. This is the behavior of a quack.

If Bush Admin stonewalled like this, you people would be screaming "coverup" and demanding that heads roll.

The reason you are in so much trouble with selling your arguments is that your research never holds up. Your "Scientists" put out reports, and then have to revise them when the numbers don't hold up. I have watched this go on for 30 years. It got so bad with Al Gore's flick that he was using Hurricanes and 20 foot rises in sea level to "snake oil" people. Even his supporters have told him to back off.

Too bad we won't be around 30 years from now to see how this works out.
