"We never learn. Or maybe we just don't care." I think it's just a recurring cycle. As with Vietnam, after Iraq they'll be a period when we don't launch any dumbass wars, but, then some manipulating pol will whip up the newer voters with fear and demonizing again, and off we'll go. Its hard to figure out. We play the role of the good natured giant.......or at least that's what we were taught in school......that reluctantly goes to war only to save the world. And yet, a close look at our history suggests otherwise.
