I'm not trying to make you feel guilty...we're all guilty of being too lazy when it comes to energy conservation. I sometimes wonder if all the resistance to evidence of climate change is due people just not wanting it to be true because of the fear associated with it.

Back in 1650 give or take scientists speculate that the lack of sunspot activity may have contributed to the mini-ice age that occurred. But since then the level of sunspot activity has increased steadily, so that even during solar min's (the 11 year cycle) the activity is much higher than it was 300 years ago during a solar min. The trend is higher not lower. But you're partially right, in the short run fewer sun spots can affect global temps, ie have a cooling effect over the short run. But I believe that most scientist who study this believe the effects will be cancelled out and not significant.
