And the commercial success of Idol winners matters to Cowell, as he reiterated a previous point he made when interviewed by CBS' 60 Minutes, that he treats Idol as a "route to selling more records." I fear he will be disappointed in this year's sales. I also have a feeling that the tour might not make as much money as seasons past. This year, in my opinion, none of the contestants have much drawing power, except for the kids who will likely flock to it for Sanjaya who can't even sing. The judges better make more sound choices for next season or this series just might see it's ratings drop. This entire season was a bust for me.
