No, because it's against the law in Virginia to practice law without a license. Got to be real careful about that around here. It's easy to start giving advice to clients that goes beyond the license to practice real estate. If anyone wants an interpretation of a contract clause or an opinion on how to deal with a particular thorny issue, we're supposed to stay out of trouble by referring them to a real estate lawyer.

One thing I learned is how many different ways a real estate lawyer can interpret some of the boilerplate contract language that we agents "think" we understand completely.
