It is like the game of gossip ------begin a statement and let each person in the group repeat the statement to the next in line------by the time it gets to the last person the final statement is totally different from the original statement.

Combined with the larger questions of homeland and worldwide security immigration becomes a major issue. I don't consider this an issue but a reality to be dealt with.

The Democrats will need the votes of many Americans to win. If they appeal to the fear instincts of the legal and illegal immigrants the Dems will risk alienating the voters whose votes they need to win.

RMF, do you not think that national politics has always been skewed? I don't see this as new; just that the issues being considered change in variety and intensity.
