Pre-Iraq War, if Democrats controlled both the House and the Senate there would not have been that crazy pre-emptive war resolution passing those chambers shortly before the November election. The politics of it all would have been organized differently. GOPwingers wanted everybody on record before that November election--and this is precisely why so many Democrats--Edwards, Clinton, et. al.--got pushed into supporting the pre-emptive war resolution. In essence, it's why we're in Iraq now!!!
