Thanks for the correction---- you are correct, Gore was never Governor. He was a U. S. Senator and also was Vice President.

Here is a link regarding why Gore lost Tennessee, his home state, in the 2000 election. As the article notes if Gore had won his home state, he would have been President.

Has that changed for Gore-----can he win Tennessee if he should be the candidate for President?

Thanks for the clarification. MJ had me puzzled for a while when she claimed that Al Gore was Gov. of Tennessee.
