It's Bush-Cheney's fault. They and their GOP supporters are like a huge parasite stuck on our government's back. Democrats cannot force Bush to do what's right unless they turn off funding of the Pentagon, and that's not going to happen yet. You were naive to expect any different. I don't know the retails, but Murtha's plan to give the so-called "surge" two more months then come back introducing de-funding if things are just as bad, is still a possibility. When you insult people like Murtha you're really on the wrong track. Nobody cares more about our troops. John Kerry has also devoted himself to ending the occupation, as have many others.
