The lackeys then report things like, "Senator, we have gotten 1,000 e-mails saying Murtha should be censured, and only 100 in support of him." This is how they find out what their constituents are thinking. Since so few people take the time to write, a small number can make them take notice. Write to your congresspeople! It's easy, it feels good, and it can make a difference.
