Looks like Wolfie got the boot while I was away, right? Is he out already, or just on his way?

The last time I took a look he was to be out as of June 30th but the general journalistic assumption was that he was likely to take a leave of absence until then. That date, most likely, was related to some sort of pension vesting.

The interesting stuff now is who will succeed him and what that process is likely to be. At the moment, it looks as if Paulson has that chip. If so, the WB might actually get a competent appointment.

Commitment to reducing world poverty is another matter altogether. Paulson has shown no serious interest in that regard.
