The comments in 23734 were from another poster on IH. It is pretty clear that he was off the mark in his use of cross-study data.

As others have pointed out, my arguments fail to appreciate the hazard ratio differences. While that is true, it still seems to me that data selected after the fact and compiled from multiple studies should face a higher than normal P-value hurdle before we bow at the Nissan alter. :-)

This odyssey in stat-land has finally convinced me WHY I would never want to be a statistician.
