And before that he was with some gold mine in YKNF with Wally what's his goober when it was in the NWT. Mercator, Kimber.. all ovah dah place... he is not that old. in his 40's.. dark hair, about 4 foot 6.. failed RSM seven times... Minto is beginning to look like a sleeper. It can't be that good, can it? Course it was a mine before too, but that did not stop III and others in BC from making hey on near mine extensions... EC:<-} VACNOUVER, BRUTISH COLUMNBIA -- May 24, 2007) - Sherwood Copper Corporation SWC - SWC.DB - TSXV, today announced results for all eleven diamond drill holes from the Phase 1 2007 exploration program. Results include the discovery of high grade copper-gold mineralization in two previously untested areas and another exceptional free gold intercept within the Minto pit. The much larger Phase 2 exploration program is expected to commence in early June. The objectives for this most recent drill program were two fold: five holes were drilled in the southern part of the Minto Mine reserve to collect metallurgical sample material for the current grinding optimization study and an additional six exploration holes drill tested the 'Gap' target between, beneath and adjacent to the Minto Mine and Area 2 resource areas. The exploration holes were drilled as wide spaced tests to determine the exploration potential in these undrilled areas and to test to depths generally greater than those tested historically. "The aim of Sherwood's recent deep, wide-spaced exploration holes was to improve our geological understanding of the area between the main Minto deposit and the recent Area 2 discovery," said Stephen Quin, President and CEO of Sherwood. "I am encouraged by the results of this wide-spaced, reconnaissance drilling, which intersected multiple mineralized horizons and some very high copper-gold grades. The intercept in hole 07SWC-176 (3.0% copper and 1.1g/t gold over 11.7m including 4.0% copper and 1.5g/t gold over 6m) ranks up there with the high grade cores of the main Minto deposit and last year's new discovery at Area 2," he added. "In addition, the metallurgical holes drilled within the main pit equalled or exceeded grades and thicknesses projected from the resource model, including another exceptional gold intercept grading 46.2g/t gold over 1.1m and significantly higher than expected copper grades in another hole. These results suggest potential for positive surprises as mining commences, since gold and copper grades could exceed those forecast in the feasibility study."
