[Bush] predicted Iraqi insurgents and al Qaeda will attempt to influence the U.S. debate on the war by launching spectacular attacks in advance of the U.S. military's assessment of the war's progress in September.

"It could be a bloody -- it could be a very difficult August," Bush said.

We're back to that old saw -- the more attacks and the more dead Americans, the more we're winning. So does that mean we're losing if attacks are down? Or are we always winning?

(That was a rhetorical question.)

August will be no different than May, June, July, September, October, or any other month until we get the hell out.
