I'm talking about why we are there now, not why we initially invaded.

"Ummmm, I thought we were there looking for WMD. "

You are mistaken. We went there to defeat the regime of Saddam and we did. We are still there in an attempt to bring stability to the region and to support the elected government of Iraq. The issue of looking for WMDs was central to our complaints with Saddam who was uncoopertive in resolving those complaints, forcing the issue of war. There are other salient issues that combine wholistically into the argument about whether, or to what extent we should continue with missions supporting Iraq.

"Great logic.

The flaw was your illogical non-sequitor post to Tim. The discussion was centered around the topic of subjugation, not on what led to military missions in Iraq and how that argument has evolved to present day operations. Just the same I felt some cause to fill in the gap for you.
