My gtc order for EPMJF (EPM.wt.b) has been in at $0.48 which is about c$0.52 and hasn't been filled. Maybe I'm being too greedy. That's part of the mystery of trying to buy Canadian warrants in sawbucks on the OTC. I figure the day I get filled it'll be a spike down and others will get filled a few cents less. I never seem to get filled unless the Mr Market gets to trade through me. I think there's a spread one must pay the market makers for the privilege of trading from a US account.

The only one I've found I can trade online at Schwab is UXGAW (2/22/2011 $10). I was bidding $2.00 (~c$2.17) but it ran away from me. It's volatile but I'm going to keep trying to buy it on dips.

If the security is DTC-listed Schwab will trade it online for $9.95. Many Canadian stocks are DTC-listed but so far UXGAW is the only Canadian warrant on my wish list I found. If I have to pick up the phone I'll call Scottrade and they'll do it for $29.95. But, those clowns at IB say it's illegal for a yank to own Canadian warrants. Hopefully the federales don't discover the ones hiding in my account ;-)
