Swamp dog: "
I could not disagree more
Poker like all card games amounts to gambling when all parties know the strategy. If all know the probabilities then it comes down to the flop.

Anybody that has played poker knows this. You can play the right way and still lose big. In fact the biggest losses are with the best strategy and the best hands. The old saying goes that the biggest loser in poker is not the person with the worst hand but the second best hand.
Chess it totally different. "

Koan: I think that may be the most amazingly incorrect thing I have ever read.

Everyone knows the rules of chess and poker. But the strategies in both games are infinite. In the largest games bluffing is probably the most important tactic, so where does that fit in?

Put a 3/6 player into a 30/60 game and sh/e has no chance over the long term. And not very long either-lol.
