My first car was a Fiat 124 convertible. I have never wanted a sportscar since. (At least not European..) The repairs in one year were more than 2x the original price.

I wasn't bald, impotent, nor lacking self-esteem

I worked with a guy who was, who fulfilled a childhood fantasy and bought a butt ugly yellow Lamborghini that was hell to ride in. He managed to lose his license to the Swiss authorities for too many speeding tickets, then lost 50% of the price of the car when he resold it in the 2000 crash.

Yeah, he managed a tech stock fund - for a short while.
