I think that while the points you are making have some validity, they miss the point of the survey. Yeah, fair enough. I wasn't trying to make the definitive comment on the survey results, I was just pointing out that I didn't like the question's choice of words. Most of us know that the US is not trying to weaken Islam, per se, so the choice or words seemed odd. Someone else pointed out the tranlsation may not have even been accurate. It's clear to me that a majority of Muslims believe we should leave their countries alone instead of throwing our weight around and telling them what to do. If we did, they would most likely leave us alone. I agree. The big elephant in the room on that approach is Israel. Hard to leave the ME and also provide them with absolute support.
