When growing up, Mom used Miracle Whip on nearly everything that one uses mayonaise on today...don't know why, but maybe it was cheaper during the depression and then during WWII. I still like Miracle Whip in some of the pasta salads I make, but like mayo in potato salad, and sometimes do a combo of both in potato salads....
