you were talking about the tax burden vs going bankrupt from a medical emergency. You said 50% chance of bankrupcy and I said 100% chance of tax burden. Try to follow along.

Pick your poison, or something in between. If you are one of the 25% who are uninsured, or the 50% of bankruptcies that are caused by a medical emergency, I'm sure you would pick the French system. If you are one of the ~70% that has (outrageously expensive and actually a "tax" on earnings) employer paid health insurance you probably pick our system.
