Frank, readers should also note the comments attached to the article.

I'm sure those "practised in the art" will find shortcomings in the piece, or have different interpretations. I had my own, particularly on OFDM. Nevertheless, the article gets a high score.

These days, one can't say "Hello" without the standard disclaimers.

Agreed, Jim. The UWB piece did provide good refreshment and some new insights into the technology in several ways, and I see what you mean about the author leaving himself open to sharp-shooters, although I don't think his purpose was to be exacting as much as it was to present general principles, as you also suggested. Thanks for posting it. I've since passed it along to others.
