A friend who is a law professor (tax law etc. used to work on M&A, IPOs etc.) told me he switched everything to cash after hearing about the Blackstone-China deal and stuff about how derivatives have gotten rid of risk. Saying everything had gone crazy and it was scary. I was surprised, I would have thought of him as a buy and hold investor.
