OT Neeka, "whether on or off" is mystifying. Are you leaving the phone in a very cold car?

I've been staying at Papamoa beach where signal strength is poor to zero. My phone went flat in a short time. I just left it on the charger after a couple of times going flat. It's an old Samsung SCH N181. If it has a power saving process, it's not doing much good. It does say "Power save mode". But goes flat anyway.

It's very unusual these days for me to have a battery life issue.

I doubt that Broadcom patent is desperately needed.
