People who take hard lines are often hypocrites, i.e. a vow of chastity by a priest who later turns out to be a pedophile.

Don't be surprised if someone gravitates back to a carnivore diet who professes to be disgusted by it.

It reminds me of people who believe in Al Gore and global warming yet drive cars and fly on planes when they should be running free in the woods.
