To: Nicholas From: mj Nicholas, my argument is logical regarding needing time to determine the validity of global warming. Consider the following from your Hawaii: Period of Record 1958-2004 for the recording of CO2 levels at Mauna Loa cdiac.ornl.gov This is 2007. This is less than 50 years that this measurement has been done and is the longest recorded record of its type per the article. The scientist at Mauna Loa are still measuring, observing and postulating on the implications. (There is still much that they do not know.) Science is a continuing process--------measurements, theories and possible conclusions------yes obvious banalities. This is where I differ with Gore------Gore wants us to believe that Global Warming is a GIVEN FACT WHEN THE OPPOSITE IS TRUE---GLOBAL WARMING IS A THEORY AND YET TO BE PROVEN OR NOT PROVEN. Gore is a politician using his theories in an attempt to convince voters to vote for candidates on the basis of an unproven theory of global warming . mj
