It was great. The problem I have is I'm a cheap date. 3 or 4 black & tans (which is all I drink) and I start gettin' giddy. I also start having a mean slice so if I'm playing for money on the course I avoid beer. Its sucks to be 41! There was a day when I could get the beer gals to take a stoll through the woods with me....not anymore :(

On one hole I had about a 45 foot Ben Crenshaw drop for the win. Did I mention that when my brothers (age 46 & 51) are in the woods I generally sneak off where they can't see me and start driving balls into the trees. Its a riot to see them hit the dirt. I've only hit one guy in my life and he was about 65. I was 17 and at golf practice. I hit this shit drive - it was a worm burner about 4 feet off the ground but it was movin! Well, this old geezer walks out of the woods - I could have never seen him - and the ball hits him on the fly in the leg. I hear this yelp from on the tee and I knew I was in trouble. So I drive the cart down and this guy is rolling on the ground and he says "oh mother of pearl" ROFLMAO!! I just lost it! I couldn't even ask him if he was ok I was laughing so hard. So he proceeds to the clubhouse and tells the pro. I got kicked off the course for the rest of the year for being rude! I said "I wasn't being rude - I was laughing at him." All the guys I was with start laughing so we all got kicked off he course and had to practice at the other course. My dad was pissed off because he got the call from the golf course. So I get home and Harry starts to tune me up....I explain what happened and it started again. I told dad about some of the noises the guy made and by the end of it my dad was laughing so hard I escaped wrath. Dad was cool - he played in the Western Open with Sam Snead when it used to be a Pro-Am tournament.
