That is what Bob Smith said about Goldstrike. All those nubs of gold would make one big open pit gold mine. So Peter Munk walked into a New York Broker and told them he was going to start the biggest open pit gold in the world. So they actually grabbed him and threw him out of the office! Man, did they know better! So whatever did become of the Betze-Poste Mine anway? One of the usual suspects I went looking for it the other day in Nevada and all I found was this big hole in the ground. I guess it was a buste.
