Uranium dissolves just by looking at it... getting it out of solution is usually by resin beads.. or as they are called, carbon towers. It has both alkaline and acid solution chemistry. Acids are H2SO4, nitric, carbonic, and hydrochloric, With ammonia, phosphate, oxalate, peroxide, fluoride, urea precip chem.

The ease of its dissolution has spawned many novel methods of recovery such as emulsion liquid membrane, hydrogels, in situ leaching, PNE ISL (you would not believe what that one is), et al.

There are more rocks uranium is found in and more methods to recover it, ... cross rocks and methods, (and you can even use gravity), that it is just dizzying. You can even get it out of 'carbon concentrators' such as coal, and kerogen.
A company, CZQ, has found it ample quantities in such a source in Sverige, (Small european country inhabited by high cheekboned people who run around in the winter with long boards strapped to their feet) -- with multi other minerals besides.

U is found usually with rare earths, and sometimes with copper, gold (SA) and other ores. A mine in Australia, the Olympic dam is simultaneously one of the biggest copper and uranium mines in the world. The Eldorado deposits of SK and NWT, Canada are copper, silver and U mines similar to the Olympic dam in geology.
