Say... $16 million or so... is WHAT FRACTION of "$5 Billion plus"? HILARIOUS how some folks either apparently can't count that high, (or else, just don't care to admit reality into their thinking....) As a child, he was exposed to the depredations of BOTH Nazis... and then Communists. No doubt that early and up-close instruction into the evils that Authoritarians can do to societies... has helped to shape his repugnance for them, and his goal of open, free, Capitalist societies that respect both rule-of-law and individual liberties. (Much the very same dreams so many of our founding fathers had for society....)

TO ALL POSTERS: I just learned that next week both the democrats and the republicans have debates. I urge the thread posters to watch both debates and then perform some kind of ranking or evaluation of the participants... maybe not something like...most photogenic...but who "impressed" you with their ideas... A special thanks to pompsander for bringing the debates to my attention and suggesting we look at both sides... who knows, maybe we can at least attempt to be fair and balanced... I'm sure if you studied the runners carefully, you could bring somethings meaningful to this thread discussion, after all, at the end of the day we're all in this together...
