In the simplest terms people have got to write, call, email or do what ever they can to let all our Rep's in every house along with the SEC, DTCC and any other agency that's part of this. People don't think just their call matters. I can't say that enough. Most people think everyone else is going to do it and the end result is hardly anyone does it. Most don't actually write, call or whatever. Maybe most on this board have but I suspect there are some lurkers out there who fit right in the category I am talking about. I take up tons of space just saying this very thing.

I want to say to EVERYONE who fits this description. Go look in the mirror and say to your self. Yeah, I'm one of those who keeps procrastinating about writing the Rep's about this. Then put the darn thing down and go make even just one CALL, write just one MESSAGE, write just one LETTER. PLEASE!!! It does count. Each letter you write our reps figure 500 people feel the same way. Each message you send counts for that much. So it does matter.

If we scream loud enough they will listen. We all have to do it though. I'm sure they have me on the white board in Washington. It does no good for me to write AGAIN.

IT WILL MATTER!! My biggest wish is to see this post hit half the investor's mail box and they ACTUALLY WRITE. EVEN IF IT'S ONLY ONE REP. Ideally you could write at least 1 a week. If you sent 1 a day you'd get them all covered in a short time and get a lot done. We only have until election time to get this cleaned up. If they don't get it fixed we're done.

I'm going to try to post some useful links to help make things easier. I hope they work. If they don't I've told you about google.

I'm not advertising for any link this one has a pretty easy source for writing people.

http://???.usalone.net/cgi-bin/oen.cgi?qnum=1938 (? = w)

I also googled this (sample letter naked short) and got tons of sample letters for those who don't write well or understand what's going on but want to help save our markets. Makes it real easy for you.

Good luck to us. I don't believe asking for a fair market is unreasonable or to much to ask for.

One last thing. The DOW could be rising because they are covering the naked short position there. I suspect they are covering a little each day. Most regular people don't have much left to invest until they give back some of what they took. Just a feeling I get.

Overstock Wins Round In Gradient Suit
Liz Moyer, 05.30.07, 11:44 PM ET
Overstock.com chief executive Patrick Byrne will get his day in court after all, unless California’s top court stops him. Cue the Star Wars theme song.

On Wednesday, a California appeals court agreed with a lower court that Overstock’s libel suit against Gradient Analytics should go forward, rejecting the Phoenix research firm’s claims of free speech as a defense against Overstock’s charges that it helped hedge funds drive down the shares of the Salt Lake City Internet retailer by issuing faulty research reports...

...Overstock could begin to get documents, e-mail and other evidence to support its case as early as July...
...The appellate court’s opinion leaves little doubt that Gradient failed to convince the judges that free speech was at issue. Overstock has alleged that the research firm issued intentionally false research that disparaged the company’s accounting and management, timed to help client hedge fund Rocker Partners and others profit from a short position in its stock.
