An estimated number of 1.2 million Tibetans were killed directly under the illegal occupation of Tibet. In the name of liberation, they have brought destructions in the country. Thousands of monasteries were destroyed in the name of Cultural Revolution. Patriotic Re-education campaign seized religious freedom and banned pictures of Dalai Lama. There has been incessant violation of Human Rights, rampant deforestation and population transfer, which clearly depicts the Chinese government's means of consolidating an absolute power in Tibet. In these 20 years, more than 3000 prisoners were viciously tortured and imprisoned. Many were given death sentence, life sentence and many died due to the immense torture in Prison. There are more than 150 political prisoners still languishing in Chinese prison in Tibet.
