I got a kick out of the town in Arizona that recently wanted to ban smoking in the backyards of private homes. A few smokers forced them to then include no BBQ grilling also. The plan died a quick death.

Regardless whatever "study" you may pull out of your patuty, most don't want the nuisance of second-hand smoke.
