The regressives don't understand (or more likely, don't care) that their freedoms end where others' freedoms begin.

Every civilized society has limits on freedom.

Which doesn't mean that limiting freedom is good, or even esp. civilized. In some cases it may be necessary but it isn't intrinsically good.

Freedom is a great thing, providing it doesn't do harm to others to enjoy their own freedom.

And the freedom I'm talking about doesn't harm others who don't accept the harm. If they accept it, presumably they are getting a net benefit not a net harm.
