I thought that the most hilarious of the charges made by Libby's legal team was the 'political motivation' behind Fitzgerald's work. (If he had been a Dem., or Independent, or even a moderate Republican --- instead of having well-established 'cred.' as a conservative, straight-shooting, G.O.P. faithful foot soldier... then that PR tactic might have hit the mark.) Still amazing to see how successful a tactic it is, despite the massive illogic or it, and near total absence of supporting facts. :-)
