Yogi > one can have a job or jobs and still be in a slave-like position, and that is how many publicans/conservatives/neocons want it.

What is also most disconcerting is how the Democrats have double-crossed their voters, especially over the war in Iraq. So-much-so, I'm sure "ordinary" Americans must feel totally disenfranchised because the fringe parties have no chance of coming into power.

I would go even further and say the US political system has transformed from being a constitutional democracy/republic to a virtual one-party state with serious fascist/dictatorial overtones -- and this is what is very worrisome, even to outsiders, like myself.
