How's your life plan?

Ya know, we've been talking about the life plan for a long time, and the setting of short term, intermediate, and long tern goals. I sure hope you've been moving forward with those plans and can look back now and see progress.

So, have you stayed on target?

When I turned 40 last year I set a few goals realizing I wasn't getting any younger.

I've been to Yellowstone and the Tetons.
Put a check mark there.

I'm now learning to fly and getting my pilot license.
This is teaching me a different way of looking at life and self discipline. One of the things I read about landing a plane is to break down the landing into individual tasks instead of looking at it as one single task. When you get done with each successful task, it looks as if you did one thing perfectly, but actually you may have done 10 things right and it made it look smooth and easy.

It got me thinking that I need to apply this to my goals. Not just set a goal, but maybe I need to break the goal down into individual tasks. Then it will look easy and smooth and well planned. I guess I now understand better as to what you mean by setting smaller goals, etc.

Anyhow, thanks for the reminder about the life plan. I now have to apply what I have learned to it.
