In Shakespeare's time, actors were considered low people, kin to cutpurses and other thieves. Probably because actors basically LIE for a living. Maybe some of that sentiment still plays in Europe?

It seems to me that most actors are qualified for acting period. Arnold was only slightly more prepared to be governor than Reagan. At least Arnold comes from a political family and had the good sense to surround himself with good people. Even with that, the first 4 years of his tenure was spent learning on the job. In other words, CA did the equivalent of hiring an insurance salesman to make semiconductors.
